Utility Billing Rates - Sewer

Sewer utility bills are prepared quarterly by the Borough of Denver, distributed by mail to property owners, and shall be payable to the Borough on or before the 15th day of the month next succeeding the month in which the bills are delivered.

The Borough of Denver’s current sewer rates for all customers (residential, commercial, industrial, and public) are as follows:

  • Minimum Billing 3,000 gallons $35.25
  • All Additional 1,000 gallons $11.75 per 1,000 gallons

Utility Billing Cycle

The Borough of Denver’s billing cycle is based on the following billing quarters:

  • November 1st - January 31st
  • February 1st - April 30th
  • May 1st - July 31st
  • August 1st - October 31st

Utility Bill Payment Options

Denver Borough water and sewer customers have a variety of options available to make water and sewer payments. These options include paying in person at the Municipal Building; placing the payment in the drop box located to the right of the front door at the Municipal Building; mailing the payment through the U.S. Mail; and, paying at the Ephrata National Bank – Denver Branch. Customers also can make credit card payments at the Municipal Building, over the telephone, or online.

The Borough accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. A per-transaction convenience fee of 2.50% or $2.50 minimum will be charged by the payment processing company for this service to anyone using a MasterCard, Discover Card, or Visa.

Credit card payments can be processed in any of the following ways:

In person at the Municipal Building;

Over the telephone by contacting the Municipal Building at 717-336-2831, Ext. 1; and,

Online at the Borough of Denver’s website.

As a reminder, property owners interested in participating in the Borough’s Utility E-Bill Program can register for this service at no cost by submitting an email to the Borough at UtilityBilling@denverboro.net and including the following information: Property Owner Name, Address, and Email Address.

Upon receipt of the email requesting this service, the Borough will make the adjustment to your account. Please note, by registering for paperless billing the Borough will no longer mail you a paper copy of your quarterly utility bill.
