The Borough of Denver, Lancaster County, PA, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Recreation Maintenance Laborer.  The Recreation Maintenance Laborer is responsible for the general maintenance and improvement of the Borough’s park, recreation, and open space grounds, facilities, and buildings.  Primary responsibilities include mowing, trimming, mulching, painting, weed spraying, fence and barrier maintenance, and brush cutting the Borough’s municipal and community facilities.

Qualifications: A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience and a combination of three (3) years of experience and/or education in general groundskeeping and/or park facility related maintenance.

A valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record is required.  Must possess a Certified Playground Safety Inspector Certification and a Pesticide Applicator – Core and Right-of-Ways, Schools, and Parks Certification or obtain both certifications within 18 months of employment.  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, contractors, elected officials, and the public.
